In my experience, built-in TV speakers deliver dialogue that's muddy and hard to hear. The JBL Studio 625C center channel dramatically improves audibility, so you can hear every line clearly. Dual 5-1/4" PolyPlas® cone woofers in a sealed box help add impact to sound effects and music, too. And it's voice-matched to sound spectacular with other speakers in the Studio 600 series.

More about the tweeter technology

JBL uses horn-loaded compression drivers in speaker arrays for large concert venues — they fill space with clear sound in a way a standard dome tweeter can't. This same technology is used in the Studio 625C center channel. The driver is recessed in a waveguide, which ensures that detailed high frequencies are dispersed across a wide listening area.
