705 SIGNATURE
Please note stands are not included*
The 705 Signature stand-mount speaker features optimised crossovers, a Continuum cone mid/bass driver and a Carbon Dome tweeter housed in Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure.
Crafted. Honed. Perfected.
Featuring the Continuum cone and Carbon Dome, this compact stand-mount loudspeaker is finished in exclusive Datuk Gloss and features optimised crossovers, making it worthy of the Signature nameplate.
Optimised tweeter housing
Milled from a solid block of aluminium, the Solid Body Tweeter housing design creates an acoustically optimised housing that is exceptionally inert and resistant to resonances.
Sharper detail
Carbon Dome tweeters are purpose-built for the 700 Series and deliver pinpoint imaging accuracy and detailed insight into your music.
Truly amazing sound
Voices and instruments are delivered with purity and precision, thanks to the smooth, accurate Continuum cone mid-bass driver.
Big sound from a bookshelf speaker
The 705 S2 is the flagship stand-mount speaker pair in Bowers & Wilkins’ 700 Series lineup. They deliver rich, immaculate sound that belies their relatively small footprint. You can use them as part of a hi-fi stereo music setup, or even as the front-channel speakers in a mind-blowing surround sound setup.
Matching stands for optimal performance
These speakers were primarily designed for placement on Bowers & Wilkins’ dedicated FS-700 S2 floor stands (sold separately). The stands reduce sound-muddying vibration and place your speakers at the proper height for listening in a seated position – two factors that have a big impact on the sound.
Proprietary drivers
This speaker looks different because it was designed to sound different. Bowers & Wilkins has spent decades creating and honing technology that gives their speakers a unique and beautiful “voice.”
The 1″ Decoupled Carbon Dome™ tweeter was purpose-built for the 700 Series to bring studio-quality sound to your home system. The top-mounted solid-body housing — borrowed from the 800 Series — is milled from a solid block of aluminum to form a structure that resists unwanted resonance.
The 6-1/2″ Continuum™ cone midrange also benefits from tech developed for the high-end 800 Series. The cone’s composite construction delivers precise vocals and instruments and smooths transitions.
Flowport™ for better bass
Bowers & Wilkins’ Flowport technology helps this bookshelf speaker produce solid bass. The 705’s bass reflex enclosure features a rear-firing, dimpled and flared port that provides natural bass response without the turbulent “chuffing” that standard ports can create. The speaker includes a two-piece foam plug that can be inserted if you want to adjust bass response to your liking.
